Developmental Edit
Developmental editing is the first step after completing your manuscript. I will be your collaborating partner. I will work with you to ensure your manuscript has focus. I will assess how scenes work together as a whole, how the story moves and unravels, and how the characters drive the story forward. Together we will work to shape your story, honing your unique voice and vision.
As a developmental editor, I will view your story from a wide-angle perspective while digging deep into what the characters want to achieve and what the readers want to feel. I will provide you with an extensive editorial letter detailing the points of the manuscript that are working well and any areas of the manuscript you may want to consider revising. I will also provide in-text or sidebar comments to make the feedback offered cohesive and easy to understand. I will encourage, challenge, and cheer you on as you create a masterpiece that readers can't put down!
Manuscript Evaluation
Through a manuscript evaluation, I will provide you with the professional editorial feedback you need before you begin querying and submitting your work. Less comprehensive than a developmental edit, this option provides a high-level analysis at a more economical price. (Since it won't help you to receive feedback on errors you are already aware of, I recommend manuscript evaluations to authors who have taken their manuscript as far as they can on their own, including self-editing.)
In a manuscript evaluation, I will review story structure, character development, pacing, plot development, and mechanics to determine what is working well and what you may want to consider revising. I will provide you with collaborative feedback to help you bring your manuscript to the next level. If necessary, I will also suggest additional resources to help you grow and enhance your craft skills. Together we will brainstorm through challenges to elevate your story and build your confidence on your journey to produce a book that will delight your readers!
Book Coaching
As a book coach, I will offer you feedback, encouragement, and accountability on your path to publishing. I offer book coaching for:
Authors who need support through the revision process
Authors who need encouragement to dedicate consistent time to their book each week
Authors who would benefit from collaborating on plot lines, character arcs, story structure, etc., as their story comes together
I provide this coaching through prearranged and prepaid hour-long Zoom or phone calls or through regular (determined by the client) email check-ins.

fantasy, cozy mystery, clean romance, suspense, YA, children's
Nonfiction Specialties Include:
Christian memoir, education, health and wellness, crafts and hobbies, parenting, children's, devotionals, bible studies, and self-help
